Estella Lippi is a designer originally from the Bay Area. She plans on moving back to Silicon Valley to work in tech as a UX/UI designer. She specializes in not only UX/UI but also art direction and branding. Estella is currently a cake decorator and she completes freelance graphic design jobs on the side. She’s a person with a multitude of interests and hobbies—always looking to branch out to try new things to keep learning and growing.
I’ve been working as a cake decorator for five years. Throughout this experience I’ve met many of my best friends who inspired me to love who I am and encouraged me to reach the point I’m at today. I want to show respect because even though I am closing that door and opening a new one, I appreciate and love this passing part of my life and what it has given me.
I am always inspired by my quickly changing interest and I use that passion to drive my projects. I am also heavily inspired by my mother and her fearless fashion sense, her music taste, and her story.
One of my absolute favorite things to do is go to Laguna Beach with my friends and lay out a big towel and spend hours making jewelry and gossiping. We always take a break to swim (one of my other favorite things to do) and stay till the sun sets. I try to take as many opportunities as I can to be outside and spend time with people I love.
I am most proud of my UX/UI projects because they were so out of my comfort zone and unexpected but I have found a love for the organization and problem solving it requires. I still love my packaging and posters but finding out that I was capable of also being good at a completely different industry and thought process of work made me feel great.
